Jeremy Hammond has been summoned to appear before a grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia.
Jeremy Hammond is sharing his new home at the William Truesdale Detention Center with courageous grand jury denier Chelsea Manning.
We don’t know why Jeremy has been summoned, but the circumstances would suggest that Jeremy is being called to provide testimony against Julian Assange.
Jeremy’s words and actions have made it clear that he has no intention of cooperating with the government. Nothing that Jeremy has done since his arrest would lead us to believe that he will testify. Nothing that has happened with Chelsea leads us to think that Jeremy’s outcome will be any different. Make no mistake about it; this is punitive!
Jeremy pleaded guilty six years ago and has since been serving his time gracefully.
We all, especially him, and his family, have been looking forward to his release in 2020. We are the Anonymous Solidarity Network, and we denounce this persecution and the criminal administration that continues to seek the imprisonment of our comrades.
We stand with our brothers and sisters!
If we could take the stand on Jeremy’s behalf and tell the jury to go fuck themselves, then we would! If we could share the burden of the consequences of those actions on Jeremy’s behalf, then we would! We stand in solidarity with our comrades, as always.
In the words of Barrett Brown, “it is war, on paper, as always, but war.” Expect us!
